After much talk of who would steal Brigitte’s prized possession on Wednesday afternoon, it was the Spa Mafia’s David who decided to carry out the abduction.
With Brigitte busy in the Backyard, David scouted out the Bedroom and adjoining Bathroom for signs of any stray (and unwelcome) Housemates. Satisfied that he was alone, David grabbed the Princess Sparkles the unicorn and headed for the Locker Room, stashing the ‘goods’ in his locker.
Choosing not to smuggle Princess Sparkles to the secret hideout until sundown, David returned to his locker in the early evening to transport the hostage under the cover of night. Hiding PS in a wrapped-up beach towel, he made a bee-line for the Kombi van and stashed the toy beneath Nobbi’s bed.
David later reported to the boys, “The package has been delivered. Over.”
The Spa Mafia sat back and celebrated the kidnapping success and then planned the operation’s next phase. The Mafia planned to use Dixie as their patsy and leak the frame-up through Travis by asking him to “not say anything.”
Predicting that Travis will be majorly conflicted by this moral dilemma, they couldn’t wait to watch the Housemates squirm.
And they didn’t have to wait long either.
At 21:58 on Thursday Brigitte made the discovery. After a quick scan of the bedroom, she asked, “Who has my unicorn?”
“What? It’s not there?” David asked innocently.
“Oh no!” Brigitte wailed, “I think Big Brother stole it!”
Missing Three Minutes
Brigitte and Dixie conducted a thorough search of the House and Backyard but to no avail. No sign of Princess Sparkles.
Missing 25 Minutes
A dismayed Brigitte quizzed Big Brother on Princess Sparkles’ whereabouts.
“I was just wondering,” Brigitte asked, “Did you take my unicorn toy?”
“Big Brother does not kidnap fluffy toys.”
“I was just wondering if you can maybe remember if you saw anyone put it somewhere? Or if you saw me put it somewhere where I can’t remember?”
“Big Brother is more concerned with the welfare of the Housemates.” He continued. “Objects are usually found in the last place you look for them.”
“Hm, thanks.” Brigitte rolled her eyes.
Big Brother offered Brigitte the opportunity to communicate with the missing unicorn. “If you had a message for Sparkles, what would it be?”
“It would be, ‘go back to your pillow where I left you and if you’ve gone somewhere like out of the House could you send me a message to let me know you’re OK and come back to the pillow soon so I can go to sleep.’” Brigitte said.
“Is it possible Sparkles ran away?” Big Brother asked Brigitte.
“I didn’t think of that, maybe?” Brigitte contemplated seriously. “Maybe she doesn’t like it in here with all the cameras? She could’ve run away, I wouldn’t like that very much.”
“Is it possible Sparkles fell in love with a new owner?” Big Brother suggested.
Brigitte’s hand flew to her mouth and she shook her head, “No way!”
“Can you be that sure?” Big Brother replied.
“Yes!” Brigitte exclaimed. “I don’t think she’s hiding until the lights go out and she’s gonna climb in bed with someone else.”
Missing 45 Minutes
“I feel like someone punched me in the stomach.” Brigitte, despondent, tells the group, “I miss my unicorn.”
With 47 more hours before Brigitte can file a missing persons report, Princess Sparkles’ whereabouts remained a mystery. Upset and confused, Brigitte went to bed without her beloved unicorn. She tossed and turned into the wee hours of the morning.
