Just before midnight on Day 8, Bianca just couldn’t hold back from continuing her venting about Corey, who is just several months younger than her.
She shared her feelings with Travis, who tried to listen patiently but didn’t bite back. Finally, Bianca headed inside to talk to BB. "I'm not going to be nice but I am going to be indifferent," she said firmly about Corey. "From what I can see, he's proven me right in that I don't think he has respect or a social conscience. I think that I'm the most passionate in my dislike for him,” she continues. “It's not so much him personally, it's more what he represents."
She continued her tirade and said she is trying to set a good example for teens. "I am trying to let the people out there like me know it's OK to be like that," she vented. She said the rest of the HMs tried to convince her to give Corey a chance, but she didn't think Corey would care about or understand her feelings.
“I have seen flashes of goodness but that makes me angrier,” she said. Bianca explained that seeing slight elements of positive qualities in Corey frustrated her because it would mean Corey was not in line with what the media had portrayed. She told BB she was angry at him for bringing Corey into the House. “You’ve just set everything that I want to achieve back so far. You’ve just said the stereotype that everyone believes in [in regards to teenagers] is true.”
“Bianca, Big Brother put you into the House as well,” BB reminded her. “Why wouldn’t kids go out and want to be like Bianca?”
“Because I’m in the minority,” she retorted.
"Are you saying one person can’t make a difference?” BB asked. “It’s like everything in life,” replied a clearly upset Bianca. “Once you try to do something, something knocks you down. And you’ve just done that.”
BB asked Bianca if she thought Corey was solely responsible for how he is portrayed. “I can see glimpses of a good kid,” she replied. “But it doesn’t matter who he is – it matters what he represents.”
“How can you send a powerful message if you’re not even going to go to the source of your frustrations?” reasoned BB, referring to Bianca’s refusal to talk to Corey. She retorted, “I never thought I would meet my arch nemesis!”
Bianca tried to explain she gave Corey a chance but she just found him rude. “Everyone in here keeps saying he’s funny and just a kid, but the rest of Australia is going to see Terri being disrespected.” She explained to Big Brother she hated the prank Corey played on Terri the first night he was in the House. “That kid just told a Grandma to piss off and climb a tree and we’re all just laughing about it,” she said angrily. Bianca finally finished the chat by telling BB her head was spinning and she was going to go to bed to think things over.
“BB suggests that you use the same passion in the Diary Room and the same dialogue, with Corey. He might just surprise you.” Big Brother advised.
“I hope so,” said Bianca.
And Bianca didn’t wait long to initiate her talk...
