The three unlucky Housemates made their way to the Locker Room and voluntarily started packing their clothes. “You’re both great guys,” said Travis. “One has to represent,” said Barney. “The curse of the Top 3,” smiled Nathan. Travis told Barney, “It sucks to be you three guys, but it sucks to be Terri.”

Nathan left the room and joined the girls. Standing at the head of the table he offered to give up his reason to Terri for why he should stay. “I’ve crammed heaps into my 27 years and I just feel like I haven’t even come close to sharing all that yet,” said Nathan. But the girls kept talking about other matters, while Nathan persistently and gently continued to let Terri know why he should stay.

The conversation turned to family and Nathan shared that he lost his Mum to cancer. He revealed she had a brain tumour and died shortly after his 21st birthday. The HMs listened as Nathan talked about spending time without her during her final days.

Corey, meanwhile, was headed back to the Diary Room – where BB asked him why he had turned down the mission. “I know it’s part of the game but they just came,” replied Corey. “I knew there would be some kind of twist because there always is… but I can’t explain it. Just hurting people… It’s just not me. I just can’t do anything like that.”

Corey told BB he thought Terri knew exactly what she had agreed to and although it frustrated him, he wouldn’t hassle her. He suggested BB at the very least throw the departing Housemates a bit of a farewell bash and BB reminded him the kitchen was well stocked with staples.

As Corey left, BB called the three hapless Housemates into the Diary Room. Barney told BB he didn’t want to go but he understood the House was too crowded. Nathan said he was nervous about leaving and he wanted to campaign to stay. Michael asked if they could have a nice cold beer. Nathan agreed and asked if they could have a good meal. “Some of us need help to look good through the night, we’re not all male models!” he laughed. “Mr Australia” Barney smiled in acknowledgement.

BB told the Housemates he had a present for them. Delighted, they anticipated a treat and instead, BB presented them with toilet paper. The baffled boys knew the HMs would be happy with the precious paper, but they were less than impressed. “Do you just want us to talk s**t all night?” laughed Nathan.

As the talk raged around the spa, an exhausted Terri tucked herself into bed. Travis sought her out and offered, “Do you reckon because everyone’s outside around the spa, you could come and talk to them all and get their opinion?” Terri, who had been feeling unwell, asked Travis if she could have a few hours sleep first. Travis gently told her it was her decision, but that people wanted their opinion heard. “We need you in the conversation Terri, we can’t have you going to bed!” he said jokingly. “I’ll tell them that you’ll come out sooner or later. Just get better soon. Did you need help to get through it?” Terri assured him she had asked the boys about their lives today and felt comfortable with her decision.

Travis went to relay the information to the group. He explained Terri felt she had spoken to the two boys already and she would come out to talk later.

The Grandmother was true to her word and eventually rejoined the group. She spent much of the night chatting with Nathan and her decision seemed to be obvious… but could anyone be sure of what was running through her shattered mind?
