Renee tried to grow a little bigger this afternoon, by being the first to break the silence between herself and Bianca. After a tumultuous weekend filled with heated exchanges and harsh words, they had both sworn never to speak to each other ever again.

After chatting with Rory earlier in the day, Renee finally decided that it was time to take some baby steps. Unfortunately for the Tomboy, the Italian Princess wasn’t prepared to meet her half way. In fact, Bianca took ten steps in the opposite direction.

Bianca is the House’s Night Watchman and must stay awake until the last person goes to bed as part of her Hand Grenade punishment. Renee’s Head of House responsibility requires that she oversees Bianca’s evening efforts. Should Bianca start to wane, it’s the Head of House’s responsibility to reprimand her.

Last night, Big Brother called Renee to the Diary Room and told her that not everyone had gone to bed and, as fortune should have it, Bianca was already asleep. In an attempt to repair some of the war wounds, Renee let sleeping B lie. She chose not to wake the Princess from her slumber and decided to cop whatever brunt BB might throw her way.

In the morning, she approached Bianca and told her about what had happened. She explained that she hadn’t wanted to wake Bianca as she thought it would be “dog.” Instead, she had decided to go to sleep so Bianca could continue sleeping herself.  Bianca didn’t crack a smile and instead, made a pointed face and floated away.

Not deterred, Renee tried again – aiming to strike a peace treaty between herself and the buxom brunette. But the talk over what was for dinner turned decidedly sour and bitchy. Both instances hurt Renee and riled her up. And when a Housemate’s seeing red, where do they go?  Why, Travis of course!

“I went to talk to Bianca today and she was like, ‘The tacos are going to be so messy tonight’,” began Renee. “She goes, ‘Oh Renee, you wouldn’t wanna have a food fight. As much as I want to, I don’t want another strike,’” Renee told Travis. “Why the f**k would you put that in there?” Renee said she had been trying hard to remain positive and calm about the fight, and felt Bianca’s comment just inflamed the issue.

But The Voice was hard-pressed trying to convince Renee to embrace some possumism. He was caught between devotion to both Bianca and Renee, his legs on either side of the fence.  Travis stood in his ground – choosing to remain firmly neutral.

Later in the Diary Room, Renee spoke about how she felt to Big Brother: “I even tried to swallow my pride and speak to Bianca today and she’s still being a toss,” she said simply, to sum up things.

And so the war continues. But come this Sunday – who will pip who at the post?
