There were only eight Housemates nominating this week, but their points meant more than ever before. With so much money up for grabs, as well as the esteemed title of “Winner of Big Brother 2008”, the Housemates have focused intensely on game playing, secrets and lies and friendships the last few weeks. Come Nomination time, the daily chats and arguments all play out and true feelings become oh-so-clear!

Terri
Terri was first to throw her Nomination points. She once again gave Bianca two points. “I find that she complains about everything,” she lamented. “It’s just constant complaining of something she feels left out of or cheated on.” Terri added. “I feel that she does it to gain the attention of all the other Housemates and it always seems to work. … That basically just annoys me!”

“For one point… I was hoping I would never have to vote strategically,” Terri signed. “I would have to give one vote to Rory because I think he’s going to go a long way in this competition.” She described Rory as a “great, down to earth young fellow” and explained she believed everyone would now start to vote strategically. “If I can’t win this competition, then it has to be Rory’s,” she finished, saying she felt Rory deserved to take it out.

Rory
Unlike Terri, Rory decided to vote with his heart. “For two points I am going to nominate Alice,” he started. He explained that despite her intelligence, he believed Alice could act immaturely. He was particularly upset at the fact Alice missed “final lunch” on Sunday – a chance for the HMs to get together one last time before someone is evicted. Alice chose to work out on the treadmill instead. “I felt it was really disrespectful,” he said bluntly. “I [also] think she’s changed her personality in a strategic way. … She used to mainly cook, clean, run on the treadmill. Now she’s tried to cut herself out of the whole cook/clean routine and change who everyone thought ‘Alice’ was.”

For one point, Rory nominated Brigitte. “I still don’t like her, even though I have got along with her better this week. I don’t think she deserves to win this game and I think she does have a good chance.”

Bianca
Although Bianca has consistently voted for Terri in the past, this time she claimed the reason behind her vote was strategic. “I’ve heard from a lot of people that she is a favourite to win,” she said, explaining that among the HMs, Terri was well-loved. “It will be good to see what the public make of Terri,” Bianca said, adding her previous reasons for nominating Terri still held strong. Bianca’s biggest gripe was that she believed Terri could never back up her arguments with facts. “I find it really hard to have an intelligent conversation with Terri,” Bianca complained.

Bianca gave her one nomination point to Alice. She said the two of them “conflicted” on a few different levels and were unable to talk about personal issues. “If you can’t meet eye to eye, the extent of that relationship can only be to a certain extent,” she tried to explain.

Cherry
Cherry again decided to vote strategically. “For two points, I am nominating Rory. Just a tactical and strategical way – I believe the only reason he was saved the week we just had, was because Terrence was up as well. I believe that if I give him two points, there may be a chance he will be up again and Australia will vote for him, therefore furthering my chance to reach the end.” Cherry openly told Big Brother that as an Intruder, he came in with the perception that Rory was not popular with the Australian public. His reasoning was that Rory had been put up for Eviction a few times by the public and while he was well liked within the House, the public might have a different perspective on the Brickie. “I think he was lucky to escape last week.”

For one point, Cherry gave Bianca a serve. “I get along with her fine and she’s an awesome chick, but I believe she has been treading on people’s toes and causing arguments within the House. I believe it will be seen as confronting and if I give her a point, it may give the public a chance to vote for her and therefore, give me a chance at the $250 000.” Cherry added he thought other Housemates would vote for Bianca too, because she had argued with them.

Brigitte
It was no surprise who this Blonde Mouse voted for – the remaining Black Crows! “I’ll give two points to Rory because he’s just the one I get along with least in the House,” she said. “I don’t have a reason.” BB firmly told her that was not good enough and she sat quietly, trying to think. “It’s so hard!” she complained. “OK… I’ll give those two points to Rory because since Nobbi’s left, he’s been nicer to me and it may be fake nice,” she said, adding that Rory had completely changed how he talked to her and was two-faced.

Brigitte told BB she wanted to give a point to Ben too. “He’s a bit two-faced – not being his full self and going under the radar,” she shared. “Ever since Nobbi has left, he has been a lot nicer to me than he was. … It’s getting closer to the end and maybe he’s trying to avoid being Nominated so he’s being nicer – and that’s being fake,” she finished.

Ben
Although they were once firm friends, Ben nominated Travis for two points. “He is starting to get on my nerves a bit – constantly going around sticking his nose in other people’s business when it’s not entirely needed. As a result, he quite often makes issues bigger than what they actually are. It would be cool if he could respect the fact that sometimes a private issue is a private issue and the fact that not everything requires a deep and meaningful. You don’t need to confide in someone about every little issue you have in this House.”

Ben also sent a dart Alice’s way. “She doesn’t really participate in anything at a group level. I’m not sure if it’s because she considers herself above the group but she quite often involves herself in stuff like the treadmill and cleaning.” Ben agreed with Rory that it was offensive that Alice didn’t join them for the “final farewell” lunch on Sunday.

Alice
Alice returned the favour to Rory and Bianca and threw Nomination points right back at them. She kicked off with Bianca. “She just seems to have to complain about everything,” Alice vented, articulating almost exactly what Terri had said. “It’s just not fun to be around someone who looks at the negatives and not the positives,” said Alice. She went on to say Bianca’s personality made her “tiring” to be around.

“For one point this week, I nominate Rory. I get along with him the least,” she said simply. “I do small talk around him … he doesn’t make me feel comfortable to be the ‘Alice’ I can be around every other person in this House. … I seem to tip-toe around him or avoid him,” she explained.

Travis
“For two points I choose to nominate Bianca,” Travis said. “Despite being quite good friends with Bianca, I sometimes go to try and see if she’s OK or comfort her and be a good friend and sometimes she can get a little bit edgy and makes me feel like I have alternate motives for checking that she’s OK, which isn’t the case.”

Travis gave his single point to Rory. “Again, despite Rory being a really, really close friend, and he has gotten heaps better than he was in the past, but he still shuts me down.” Travis added, “I just think, I have 20 years of experience that I have used to formulate an opinion and a perspective on life and he should give me the courtesy of listening to my opinion.”

Nominees Are…
BB announced that Alice, Bianca and Rory were up for Nomination. Bianca looked dejected, but as Rory’s name was announced, she high-fived him. “I start to wonder how… and whether friends are actually friends,” Bianca moaned. “Hel-lo!” Alice retorted, acknowledging her continual nomination. “There are only these people here, and you just look around…” Bianca lamented. “You never know how many you were in by, I don’t think of it,” Brigitte offered. Rory agreed he didn’t either.

The Twist!
Meanwhile, Cherry was executing his twist. “I think Rory would be the last person he would save,” Brigitte contemplated. “It’s true,” Rory said, as Brigitte suggested he was closer to Bianca and Alice. “He’ll save Alice,” Rory said. In the Diary Room, Cherry was doing exactly that. “I put two [of those] people up for Nomination so what’s the point in taking them down? The only way around it is pulling Alice out … so I’ll save Alice.” He said.

It may not have been the most heartfelt Twist but it was all Alice needed to stay in the game. And removing her meant that Travis and Terri – both on equal points – dropped down into the Nomination melting pot.

The question is – which of these four Housemates will you choose to Evict?
