Despite being the first to comfort Travis after the spa incident and working hard to rebuild their friendship, along with being devastated when Travis was injured when a prank went wrong, it seems Ben has well and truly come full circle and doesn’t appreciated Travis at all anymore.
A few weeks ago, Ben admitted Travis was starting to irritate him, and with Nobbi gone and that connection closed, it seems the lawyer-in-waiting’s patience has dried up.
“I just think he is legitimately dumb,” Ben bitched to Rory last night, after Rory speculated that Travis could perhaps be the mole. The boys laughed but Rory offered, “He’s too innocent, man.”
“Hmm,” Ben said, unconvinced. “He’s just dumb.”
But Travy’s perceived intelligence levels weren’t the only thing annoying Ben. His possumism was grating on the Head Boy too. “You just see how he straight away defends people and he’s always diplomatic. [And] when he cried over the whole spa [incident]…” he trailed off.
The boys debated whether or not he could indeed be the mole. Rory said he didn’t believe Travis was faking his voice, but Ben thought Travis could be seen to be thwarting tasks. “He’s so uncoordinated at stuff and he’s just so crap at general life,” he complained. “But what’s he really done to try and sabotage stuff?” Rory questioned. “Like, he dropped heaps of cricket balls and ruined Nobbi’s catches… and like, he was the best dancer.” Ben explained in an attempt to demonstrate the different sides of Travis. “He tried really hard at that,” Rory defended, but went onto say no one would have questioned Travis if he had done badly because he wasn’t the most co-ordinated person.
But Travis views Ben as his “second best friend” in the House – a sentiment Ben doesn’t appear to share. This week, Ben was unhesitating when he put Travis up for Nomination – serving him the two points. “He is starting to get on my nerves a bit – constantly going around sticking his nose in other people’s business when it’s not entirely needed,” Ben said. “As a result, he quite often makes issues bigger than what they actually are. It would be cool if he could respect the fact that sometimes a private issue is a private issue and the fact that not everything requires a deep and meaningful. You don’t need to confide in someone about every little issue you have in this House.”
Big Brother asked Ben how Travis would feel if he knew Ben wanted him out of the House more than any other HM. “I don’t think he would be overly surprised…” Ben offered. “We’ve talked about this in the past. I am just bringing it to the Diary Room.”
But it wasn’t that simple. Ben’s two points were the sole reason Travis was put in the Nomination hot seat… and faces Eviction this week. According to the BB homepage, Travis is second in line to be booted this week… how will Ben react then?
