When she waltzed into the House all heads turned in Brigitte’s direction - and then there was Terri’s infamous first words to the platinum princess, “Brigitte, could that skirt be any shorter?” The boys were all lusting after the blonde beauty but Brigitte made it known that she wasn’t set to reciprocate their affection and fended her suitors off with fire.
Early on in the piece, Brigitte developed a strong friendship with Rebecca and Travis. She was leader of their group, the commander-in-chief of the ‘Sparkle Club’, formed around her beloved stuffed toy, Princess Sparkles. But there were games afoot and the evil spa mafia plotted to steal Sparkles, causing much controversy and tantrums from Brigitte.
When the Webmates stormed the House, Brigitte was not at all interested in having new House guests. She labeled Michael a ‘freak’ and the two openly professed their dislike for each other in an all out feud, lucky for Brigitte his stay was short lived.
Brigitte was again devastated when her special friend Sparkles was torn away from her indefinitely at the start of the 4th week in the House after Saxon’s Housemate Hand Grenade. All of Brigitte’s belongings were confiscated! Her trademark tantrums ensued, and there was tears, tears, shoe throwing, and more tears. BB challenged Brigitte to see the world through rose coloured glasses but her mission was sabotaged by the boys and it turned to tears once more. Despite begging and begging to have her things returned, BB merely presented Brigitte with a pillowcase, from which to fashion a new outfit.
Brigitte danced up a storm with Travis in the dance task, but the two came to blows over The Voice’s lack of rhythm – even though Dance judges Jason and Matt rated Travis’ performance over her own!
When Carson made over the House Brigitte was given the glam-over she so desired and even received praise for her pillowcase couture!
At times, the Housemates didn’t quite know how to take Brigitte – her upfront and often sour attitude quickly got a lot of the HMs – mostly the boys - offside. But after a while they learnt that Brigitte was just Brigitte and though tumultuous at times, they learnt to love her and found her outburst and temper tantrums somewhat entertaining.
Terri and Brigitte’s developed a tumultuous relationship which saw them bond over knitting the Paris wannabe some new clothes. The two would see-saw between love and hate throughout Brigitte’s BB stay. But Terri ended up becoming somewhat of a ‘House Mum’ to Brigitte. The two formed a special relationship and Terri admitted to holding a soft spot for her. Although Brigitte would sometimes talk tough and give Terri a hard time, when it came down to it Brigitte admitted, “I actually like having [Terri] in here.”
When Renee was evicted, Brigitte was lumped with her second HM Hand Grenade. All the HMs received video messages from their loved ones but Brigitte’s privilege was removed. Her trademark tantrum reared its ugly head yet again and she had nothing nice to say about Renee. However, a few days later it was water under the bridge as Brigitte celebrated her 21st Birthday in the House.
HMs travelled with Brigitte to ‘Sparkle Land’ for her momentous coming of age. There were all sorts of treats and Brigitte received an extra special present from BB. The notorious Princess Sparkles was returned, Brigitte finally got a message from her family and all was well again in the world of Brigitte.
The Intruders entered the House and Brigitte displayed much of the same welcoming attitude she had for other House guests and was … not very welcoming at all. A priceless expression was snapped when Terri emerged from the DR with fellow over 50er Terrence. Brigitte and Terrence never saw eye to eye. Brigitte just thought Terrence was old and annoying and didn’t want to listen to his rants. Terrence tried to confront her but Brigitte did want to hear about his low opinion of her or her upbringing. Brigitte was not fazed by his point of view but was happy to see the end of Terrence in the House.
After suffering for weeks without her worldly possession Brigitte was a new woman when the House chose to extinguish her grenade as part of their vending machine purchases. Not only did she have her clothes back but she was also the leader of the Three Blonde Mice, a gang to rival Nobbi and the Evil Black Crows.
Another member of the crows was the devoted Cherry. HMs had notice he’d taken a liking to the Mice’s mistress and as time wore on Brigitte was singing a different tune when it came to Cherry. Mr Abs persistently pursued the blonde beauty and try as she might to resist his charms, she eventually gave in and the two cuddled up. Progressing to kisses and cuddles, the two have vowed it is just fun and games but it is clear there is something there. Brigitte seemed to be smitten by the Sexy Surfer and is smiling once again.
Brigitte was dethroned and escorted out of the House on Day 73 but the Paris Wannabe will not be quickly forgotten. Brigitte was one HM that kept the others on their toes. She was always entertaining, wasn’t afraid to rock the boat and say what others only thought. She laughed, she cried and she threw her shoe at the plasma. Though some might say she’s not a girl, not yet a woman, Brigitte leaves the House with a suitcase full of memories and a new boy on the horizon. She will be sorely missed, especially by Cherry… who will he cuddle now?
