Over a barbequed meal, Housemates sat down for their final family dinner. Snags in one hand and dinner questions in the other, Head of House Ben guided his Housemates through a bevy of small issues and big ideas.

Who is going to win Big Brother and why?
“Rory,” Terri answered straight-out. “He’s a nice, hard-working, fair dinkum young Australian who loves his family.”

Travis, meanwhile, nominated the Nanna, “I’m going to say Terri because in Big Brother history there has never been anyone more diverse in the history of this game.”

Rory – while flattered by Terri’s suggestion – hit his choice right back into her court, “I’ve knuckled it down to Travy and Terri but who I’d like to win is Terri because she’s been stuck in the same job for 25 years.”

Alice split her vote between The Voice and the Grandma, “Travy never says a negative word about any situation and Terri you’ve had to work through a lot and you’ve given it every emotion. You both represent what every facet Big Brother is.”

“I too think Terri,” Ben chimed in, “Terri’s a beautiful person. It’s very rare for someone of her age to relate to someone of our age and still retain respect for us. I think she’s an absolute ripper chick and I think Australia as well as myself would like to see her win.”

Is Alice too attached to the treadmill?
“Seriously, no. Good grief,” Terri sighed dramatically. “She spends a whole hour a day on the treadmill and as she’s said before she runs way more than that out of here.”

“I don’t see why it has to be brought up so regularly,” Travis mused and Rory provided a light-hearted answer, “I think Al would probably marry the treadmill. Just joking. I’ve made jokes about it before but that’s just because we know it stirs you up.”

Ben agreed with Rory, “That was a ridiculous question.”

Alice smiled at her family, “That just made me fill up with joy.”

What is the biggest issue in the House at the moment?
“Absolutely no issues,” Alice said adamantly. “The biggest issue was probably the handballing of Ben’s wooden spoon.”

Rory had a more serious answer, “I think the biggest issue is BB toying with our minds trying to turn us against each other.”

“BB is always going to make us try and react,” Travis defended Big Brother. “The biggest issue is the care packages and getting care packages for everyone.”

Terri had to think about her answer: “The biggest issue is knowing when the Evictions are going to occur.”

“Before this there was the precedence that Evictions happened on Sunday,” Ben added. “It’s a scary thought that one of us is going.”

Ever the possumistic soul, Travis accentuated the positive, “On the plus side we get to wear our Eviction outfits every day.”

What is the hardest thing about having only 5 people in the House?
“I guess the hardest thing for me is making sure that people aren’t feeling alone unless they want to be,” Alice explained, saying that she likes to make sure people are coasting along OK and not feeling isolated.

Rory, however, loved the isolation. No longer sleeping in a bed with so many other Housemates means he is allowed those extra snooze-points he’s been missing of late.

Travis could not concur. “The hardest thing is that today I had a shower and I was so lonely. It was still good because I could still talk to Al and Terrah but not having three other people in the shower with me was quite hard.”

“I’m going to be very, very honest,” Terri confessed, “and say that Travis and I got along really, really well but now that there’s less people for him to play with he’s started to get on my nerves more and more.” Travis laughed and Terri softened, “Travy and I - I can yell and scream at him and get cranky and whatever, but I still love him – he’s a great kid.”

“It’s also tough in the sense that we’re all becoming a lot closer,” Ben told the group, “the Eviction procedure is becoming a lot harder and harder and harder.”

How often do you think about the prize money? What would you spend it on?
“To be honest,” Alice admitted, “I do not believe I’ll be there. Maybe it’s part of my personality to block out what’s unachievable. I would love more than anything to spend it on my parents, to clear them of the stresses that any of our parents have.”

“I don’t think about it that much,” Rory said casually. “At this stage we’ve probably all given it a little bit of thought – it’d give most of us a head start in life. I don’t think about it that much – I just go with the flow and let it roll.”

Travis reiterated that he thinks about the money and helping his father out a lot while Terri shared with the group, “The only time I think about the prize money is when I get through the next Eviction. I’d like to retire a little earlier than 65. I’d like to help my son buy a home. I’d like to travel to the three parts of the world I’d like to see: New Zealand, Canada and Australia. I also have a bit of a mortgage to pay off.”

“I’m down with the idea that we’re here because of our parents,” Ben felt Alice’s vibe, “so why not give back to the people who have given us much? So I’d definitely be paying off my parents mortgage and moving out of home.”

What has been the highlight and low light of your Big Brother experience?
“My lowlight is definitely the Snap Eviction,” Alice decided. “My highlight was watching Ollie stop on my stuff-up and then go on the second whistle.”

“I really like Ollie in the House,” Terri chimed in before telling everyone that the lowlight was knowing Brigitte was outside watching us on the plasma while we were in the Diary Room deciding the fate of her clothes.

Travis said that he remembered the highlights more than low lights and that he still thought frequently about tickle time with Brigitte.

Rory said his lowlight was, “what Big Brother did the other night,” but that his highlight was, “the first two weeks when everyone was here.”

“Highlight was seeing everyone get Evicted on Sunday,” Ben joked. “Lowlight was seeing Travis come back.”

Which Housemate do you think has changed the most?
Housemates all looked around the dinner table, smiling at each other.

“Without a doubt Ben has changed the most,” Terri grinned. “He’s grown muscles and he’s a big man now.”

“Hit the nail on the head there – Ben,” Alice jumped in. “From being a little, shy, introverted person to giving cheek and wittiness as he leaves.”

Travis reflected before answering, “Probably myself.”

“Travis is definitely a lot more assertive,” Rory agreed, “I hope he takes that out into the real world.”

Finally, Ben decided that Terri was the person who had most changed – from someone who didn’t open up the group, to someone who was now an integral part of the new family.
