“I reckon Rory is going sweet as – he’s in the Final Five and I’m hoping he takes it out. He’s genuine. He’s totally what he’s like in the real world – he’s a big family man. He’s very family orientated and he’s a proud Victorian boy.

I am not surprised that Rory’s made it through to the end, because I think the Housemates loved him at the start and Australia grew to love him too. I think the start of that change was Rory’s relationship with Rhianna – people realised he wasn’t just a player, a boy’s boy or a brickie - he is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Everyone has a mate like Rory – and it took five or six weeks for people to realise that and see that deep down, Rory is just a genuine person who will be there for you.

For me, the best Rory moment in the House has been the Pamela Anderson thing. I’m Rory’s wingman on the outside, so when I see something like that, I’m like, “Good form!” I was proud! It was just strange, because our house is so dingy and to see him hanging with Pamela Anderson… that was so far removed from our reality! It was really impressive.

The hardest thing was seeing him in the 60 second catch up with his brother Justin – just because I knew he would be going through so much. And I know he misses bricks. I don’t know how he managed to so calmly teach Travis how to build that letterbox – he’s patient, but I didn’t know how he was that patient!

If I could say anything to Rory right now, I’d say keep it up brother, I’m proud. You’re my boy and you’re kicking it. Rory is the most genuine Australian person – he’s a patriot, he’s a family man. Any value you should have, he has them. He has an opportunity to change his life with the prize money - he has his head screwed on and great aspirations.”
