From best buddies to bitching behind each other’s backs, any flicker of a friendship between Dixie and Brigitte has been officially snuffed out, with Dixie even announcing during the game of truth or dare that the Housemate she most disliked was Brigitte.
As arguments raged (albeit on the semi-low down) throughout Rebecca’s birthday party, in an attempt to not ruin Bec’s big day, the gossiping and whispering continued well into the next day.
While Alice and Dixie debriefed over Rebecca and Brigitte’s childish behaviour, Bianca told Brigitte how she’d taken the time to clear the air with Dixie after Brigitte and Rebecca had informed the Italian Princess that Dixie was not her number one fan, and was guilty of more than a little backstabbing.
“She said she does bitch a bit about me but it’s only small things,” relayed Bianca. “It’s usually just to get it off her chest. She said don’t think our friendship is fake because if I didn’t like you I’m the sort of person who would just not talk to you or clearly hate you.
“It’s not about that, it’s just everyone has their niggly nags but I might do it more than most people and that’s just who I am, but it doesn’t mean I dislike you.”
Bianca continued to tell Brigitte about how a couple of days ago, Dixie subtlety forewarned her she’d made some not-so-nice remarks about the 18 year old. “She actually said I feel really bad because when people get out they’re going to see those little snippets and see me bagging them out,” Bianca explained. “I hope they don’t take it personally because it’s just in the moment.”
Brigitte’s wounds over Dixie’s warring words had obviously cut quite deep, and she announced her feelings towards her former friend. “I hate her,” she said. “I’m just not going to talk to her anymore.”
Bianca was surprised by Brigitte’s revelation, and gave the Paris Wannabe her take on the situation. “But to me, when I look at you guys, I thought it was like awesome foursome,” Bianca told an equally surprised Brigitte. “Bec, you, Alice and Dix, I thought you were all really close.”
“I’m not close to Alice at all,” replied Brigitte, before adding sadly: “I thought I was closest to Dixie.”
Outside by the spa, Rebecca was getting ready to go into bat for her Strategy Room Sister.
“Can I ask you something Dixie?” Rebecca asked. “What did Brigitte do to you?”
Dixie replied she may have been a little rash to make her statement about disliking Brigitte last night, but the Paris Wannabe had set her off. “I do like her, and I think I did make a mistake in the hype of things last night when people asked who I disliked,” she rationalised. “I did dislike Brigitte the most in that moment last night. Because she stood over there, and she was talking about me.”
Dixie told Rebecca she had heard Brigitte saying her name repeatedly, and knew that it couldn’t have been kind words – because at that point in time, Dixie was reciprocating the mutual dislike.
“I thought you and her were becoming good friends,” lamented Rebecca.
“I didn’t get to say that to her and I don’t think she’ll give me a chance to explain that to her now either,” answered Dixie sadly. “Oh well, doesn’t matter.”
Dixie may have shrugged off her rift with blonde Brigitte, but is more going on with this Dubbo girl than meets the eye? With the next Housemate falling victim to the Eviction chopping block tonight, will these two patch up their differences before one of them could be voted out of the House forever?
