Here’s what they had to say…

Q1: Why are Housemates allowed to upset Brigitte by taking away her unicorn toy?
Brigitte said she thought it was unfair because it was her toy and the other Housemates would be upset if she took something of theirs. Dixie piped up as Brigitte’s co-council on this issue and agreed her unicorn should be returned.

The general feeling around the table was that it was unfair and Brigitte should have her toy – even the bandits themselves offered their support! Not admitting any responsibility, Rory said to Brigitte, “It’s probably not trying to hurt you - it’s probably just for a joke.”  Rory continued to say he felt for poor Princess Sparkles because it wouldn’t be such a bad position to be in, being snuggled up to Brigitte every night and he volunteered to step in as a replacement. The Housemates all laughed and the tension in the room was broken.

Q2: Is Nobbi becoming a whinger? He was put in the Kombi van, should he just live with it?
Unanimous ‘no’ from the Housemates was the answer. David was a big supporter of Nobbi and his situation. “Nobbi is definitely not a whinger ... it’s just his personality to arc up and have a bit of a go at people,” David stated.  Terri even sided with Nobbi.  “No, not whinging, I haven’t heard him whinge one time. And yes I think it’s too long to be out there,” Terri said. Housemates agreed that Nobbi’s situation is better than not being in the House at all, but confirmed it was still not a great situation.

Q3: Is Corey a welcome addition to the Big Brother experience?
Corey’s bread making skills were a real plus for his inclusion in the House, and it seemed the way to get through to the Housemates is through their stomachs! In general, it was great reactions from Housemates all round as they welcomed Corey. David said; “Ever since he’s set foot in the House he’s always pulled his weight and been respectful the majority of the time.” Even his biggest opposition Bianca admitted she has seen really good qualities in him and believes she has become a better person for knowing Corey.

Terri was the only one to disagree with the group. “Of course I’m going to say, no. I don’t think he’s a welcome addition.” Terri received blank and disapproving stares from her fellow Housemates. “On my part, I would rather that you weren’t here.”

“Alright,” conceded Corey, not expecting open arms from Terri. Dixie did somewhat support Terri however, saying that although she thinks Corey is a welcome addition, it was inappropriate when he called Terri a liar the other night. “I think that was very uncalled for ... where I come from… you don’t speak to older people like that,” Dixie said. Corey didn’t want to debate the issue, but the Housemates supported him and his actions.

Q4: What does everyone think about the new Nomination/Eviction process?
Housemates weren’t huge fans of the new system of Nominations and Evictions, but all were resigned to living with them. “Either way it has to happen,” Rebecca said.

Housemates argued, however, it was they who had to live with each other so they should have a say who deserves to go.

“It will definitely change the game ... I do think it will make our job harder because … maybe those 3 people would not be anyone that you would actually want to nominate,” Bianca said.  She also highlighted they might have to have to vote for people that they really actually do like… which was on many of the Housemates’ minds.

Terri looked on the bright side, saying “You haven’t got a whole week to worry,” so it might be better. But Rory wasn’t buying that.  Rory said that it ‘sucked’ for the simple fact of, “We might have to choose our friends to go.”

“It’s going to encourage us to be more entertaining Housemates,” suggested Ben who was looking forward to the new process. He believes it will actually give the Housemates more power.

Q5: Are you happy with the current food situation? Are all Housemates chipping in?
Housemates were not happy with the food situation, but they knew that it wasn’t going to be great all the time.  There were truck loads of diplomacy dropped at the table as they agreed everyone was chipping in their fair share and contributing to kitchen duties.

The topic of Alice’s not-so-flash meat pie was brought up. Dixie didn’t appreciate people saying Alice’s cooking tasted like dog food.  “That wasn’t very kind,” Dixie told everyone.  David agreed, “I felt sorry for Alice yesterday … she was just trying her best to make something different.” The table agreed and decided “it doesn’t look like dog food” would be used to describe any meals in the future.

Corey brought up that people taking food and hiding tea bags was not helping the food situation - which opened a can of worms.  Dixie was accused of hiding a coffee satchel and an apple, both precious items. But she wasn’t having it. “I don’t need to defend myself about food,” she told the group. “I think you’re kinda having a go at me,” she declared, explaining the coffee had been taken by error and she was well entitled to the apple.

Q6: Is there a boy/girl divide forming in the House?
Housemates agreed there are certain times when the groups divide, but put it down to human nature.  “It’s not a problem,” Bianca expressed.

Dixie said there was a divide, and it was evident when the boys hid the toilet paper from the girls. The boys didn’t agree, though David admitted, “We shouldn’t have done it.”  But he continued, “At the end of the day I’m a boy’s boy. I like to sit in the spa and talk about girls in bikinis sometimes.”

Q7: Is it fair that Terri is immune from eviction this week?
The attitudes at the table were mixed - some didn’t care and some felt passionate.  Opinions were offered, listened to but not really reacted to with much emotion.

David, Rory, Bianca, Saxon and Dixie all thought that her return was unfair. But Bianca said she couldn’t hold anything against Terri because if anyone was put in her situation, they would take as many chances as they were allowed. “It’s not her fault,” conceded Rory.

Dixie spoke her mind, not holding back as she explained she thought it was unfair that Terri is still there. Dixie also said that she blamed Terri for putting Nobbi out in the Kombi!

Nathan pointed out, “There’s going to be plenty of stuff that’s unfair,” adding that Big Brother can change the rules at any time.

Which he will no doubt do…
