Missing 48 Hours
After a lengthy disappearance, Princess Sparkles was now legally missing. This detail did not escape the Spa Mafia, who had realised things were heating up. Keen to take Operation Sparkles into Phase Two, the boys visited Big Brother for counsel.
“We wanted to maybe discuss taking Operation Sparkles to a new level tonight,” David confessed. “We had an idea but in the light of not breaching the rules we just wanted to run it past you if possible?”
“Certainly,” Big Brother responded.
“Planning to just maybe deposit a few hairs: Sparkles is a unicorn with a mane on its back and one of those parts of the mane can be removed without damage.” David explained while Saxon and Rory provided moral support. “We’re thinking about putting it in the outdoor kitchen area and just writing with Rima’s honey – if permitted - ‘Sparkles was here’.”
“Housemates, Big Brother has some news which may adjust your plans significantly. Operation Sparkles has gone on long enough,” Big Brother announced. “It is past the point of stray hairs and honey. Operation Sparkles must be resolved tonight.”
David remained optimistic. “We have a back-up plan in action - we’ll put that into place.”
Missing 48 Hours and 30 Minutes
“Get your big jacket now, we’ll go out to the Kombi and you bring it back. You know which one is Dixie’s locker?” David whispered urgently to Rory who confirmed he was up for the mission.
“We’re gonna have to keep Dixie distracted so she doesn’t go to her locker in the time being as well,” Saxon warned.
The endgame in action, the boys planned to reconvene at the Kombi van stat.
Missing 48 Hours and 32 Minutes
Nobbi – not privy to this new development – climbed out of the spa to fetch his microphone and was surprised to find Saxon perched on the end his bed.
“Get ready.” Saxon advised.
“Now?” Nobbi said aghast, “Couldn’t we wait till a bit later?”
“No,” Saxon shot back calm and collected. “We’ve been given time restraints.”
Missing 48 Hours and 34 Minutes
“Is it safe to talk?” Saxon reclined on the Kombi bed and confided his fears to David. “I think people are a bit suspicious.”
“Oh, highly,” David confirmed.
While Nobbi performed his best monkey impression to distract a clueless Brigitte, Rory made his way to the Kombi. In an act of incredible cunning, Rory smuggled Sparkles into the interior of his bomber jacket while many of the Housemates watched on unawares.
“You look dodgy,” Saxon murmured.
“Well, what the f**k am I meant to do?” Rory barked.
“How about I go over there and talk to the girls,” Saxon offered. “You walk past and I’ll make a distraction.”
“I’ve gotta get out at the same time as you,” Rory added. “I’ll just shove my hands in my pockets.”
Feeling the heat of the Operation, Rory left the Kombi breathing heavy and looking nervous. But just when he thought he was in the clear, he was intercepted by Travis who was sitting in the Locker Room.
“Rory!” Travis sung.
“What’s up bro?” Rory said distractedly, clearly rattled by Travis’ presence.
“Whatcha doin’?” Travis asked.
Rory acted quickly. “I need to pee bad man, I’m freezing.”
After a quick hide in the toilet, Rory delivered Sparkles to the drop-off point: Dixie’s locker.
Missing 49 Hours
Saxon lures Brigitte to a corner of the Backyard.
“I’ve been told to give you another two words on the conditions apparently that you’re not allowed to discuss it with anyone,” Saxon relayed to an open-eared Brigitte. “Okay, ‘DR’ – he said ‘D’, ‘R’ – and ‘Locker’.”
“Really?” Brigitte lit up with the hope she would soon be reunited with her beloved unicorn.
Missing 49 Hours and 10 Minutes
Brigitte entered the Locker Room and paced the room.
“What are you doing?” Bianca interrupted.
“I need to search the lockers again,” Brigitte told her. With that she started sifting through the contents of the lockers, digging faster and faster until she uncovered what she was looking for.
Brigitte let out a giant gasp of surprise and relief. There it was - her precious toy unicorn Princess Sparkles, back safely in her arms again.
Distressed by the past two days and still in a state of shock, Princess Sparkles is recovering from her ordeal. Although unavailable for comment, Princess Sparkles is rumoured to be glad to be back in Brigitte’s safekeeping and requests her privacy be respected at this time.
