Inside the Diary Room, Corey came face to face with all his Housemates – literally. Spread out in front of him were the 14 smiling faces of his Housemates on paddles, including himself.

Nestled in the lounge room, the Housemates knew something huge was up – for once, Nobbi was sitting beside them, inside the House – on BB’s orders! As congratulations went around for Nobbi’s first legit visit inside the BB House in weeks, the HMs were suddenly alerted to Corey’s face on the plasmas.

But inside the Diary Room, all focus was on Corey.

“Corey. Your Housemates are watching you,” BB began. “You have just left the Big Brother House for the last time. Before you go, Big Brother is giving you one last task. You could leave a very lasting impression on the Housemates you have lived with. You could add $100,000 to the Big Brother winner’s prize pool.”

Outside, the Housemates ears perked up, and immediately interested, they all listened a little more closely.

BB continued to explain the rules to Corey’s final challenge. “There is no correct answer to the questions, only your opinion. For every answer you correctly match with one other Housemate, BB will add $10,000 to the prize money. Nobbi, you are the other Housemate.”

“Nobbi, in your Kombi there are 14 paddles, identical to what Corey has in the Diary Room. When BB asks a question, he will first ask Corey to hold up a paddle, then Nobbi, he will ask you to hold up a paddle. If your answers match, that’s $10,000. If they don’t match, it’s nothing.

“Nobbi. Remember the answers to the questions are Corey’s opinions… not yours.”

After a short but sweet stint inside the BB House, Nobbi was once again sent to the Kombi, but this time, he was a man on a mission.

The Questions

1. Which Housemate do you think has the most money in their bank account?

Corey pondered the question for a moment, before holding up a Brigitte paddle.

Nobbi, in the Kombi, took half a second to also choose a Brigitte paddle for his answer.

“Corey, Nobbi,” addressed BB. “Your answers matched. You have added $10,000 to the prize money.”

In the lounge room, Terri asked Brigitte how much money she really did have to ner name, to which she admitted to having 25 cents in her bank account.

2. Which Housemate do you think is the biggest party animal?

After a moment’s deliberation, Corey held up his own paddle.

In the Kombi, Nobbi held up a Rory paddle, much to the dismay of the HMs in the lounge room.

“Corey, Nobbi,” began BB. “Your answers did not match. You have added nothing to the prize money.”

3. Who do you think is the most boring Housemate?

“If he’s smart he’ll pick Terri,” stated Rory. “He’ll pick me for sure,” agreed Terri.

Straightaway, Corey reached for a Terri paddle.

“Good on ya,” applauded the Housemates.

Scratching his head, Nobbi also held up a Terri paddle. The Housemates erupted into a cheer, even Terri – despite being named the most boring Housemate.

“Your answers matched,” announced BB. “You have added another $10,000 to the prize money.”

4. Which HM do you think is playing the game, and not being themselves?

In the lounge room, the Housemates all breathed out, awaiting Corey’s answer to the issue they’d all be talking about – albeit often behind each other’s backs.

Corey and Nobbi both raised Nathan paddles, and in the lounge, Nathan also raised his eyebrows in surprise.

But Nathan couldn’t help but smile, as BB announced Corey and Nobbi had added another $10,000 to the prize pool.

5. Who do you think is going to win Big Brother ’08?

The Housemates realised BB wasn’t beating around the bush with his questions, but weren’t surprised when Corey held up a Nobbi paddle.

In the Kombi, Nobbi raised a Renee paddle. “I’m just going to take a stab and I hope this is right,” he announced.

Shrugging off the compliment from Nobbi, Renee was more concerned with her picture on the paddle. “I look fat!” she exclaimed.

6. Which HM do you think has the worst personal hygiene?

After a long deliberation, Corey raised his own paddle. “I’m going to do me because I don’t know who,” he explained.

Nobbi also struggled to come to his conclusion in the Kombi. “Sorry, but I guess Dixie,” said Nobbi with a cringe, as he held up a Dixie paddle.

“That’s harsh,” breathed Terri in the lounge room.

7. Which HM would you like to see Evicted next?

The Housemates in the lounge room all laughed – anticipating Corey’s answer.

Smiling to himself, Corey produced a Terri paddle.

With much the same approach, Nobbi also held up a Terri paddle.

“Corey, Nobbi your answers matched,” announced BB. “You have added another $10,000 to the prize pool.”

8. Who do you think is the best looking HM?

Immediately, Corey held up a Rebecca paddle.

In the Kombi, Nobbi also raised up a Rebecca paddle.

“They’ve spoken about this already,” speculated of the HMs, who had another $10,000 added to their prize pool.

9. Who do you think is the smartest Housemate?

Contemplating this for a moment, Corey raised an Alice paddle.

Surprised Corey didn’t go with their choice, Ben, they soon realised the rationale behind Corey’s answer – the fact Alice is a vet, obviously spoke highly of her intelligence.

But Nobbi didn’t agree, and held up a Ben paddle.

10. Who do you think is the funniest Housemate?

Once again without a hint of hesitation, Corey produced a Nobbi paddle.

“He has to think like Corey,” stated Rory of Nobbi’s mindset. “And he [Corey] spent most of his time being a wanker with Nobbi.”

Nobbi took the question in. “I don’t want to sound like a...” he began to justify, and the Housemates realised who he was going to vote for. “But I’m going to take a shot at myself. I think we’ve had good laughs together.”

“Corey, Nobbi. Your answers matched,” congratulated BB. “You have added another $10,000 to the prize money.”

The Housemates sat in silence as the final amount was tallied by BB. “This is Big Brother. Corey, your parting gift to the Housemates is $60,000.” The Housemates erupted in a massive cheer, and screamed thanks to Corey and Nobbi.

Now, the time had come for Corey’s departure. “Corey. You may now give a final goodbye message to your Housemates,” announced BB.

“Goodbye House,” Corey began. “Thanks for having me here, I’ve had a great ten days. You’ve all made me feel welcome and I’ll miss you all. Hopefully catch up with you for the reunion and see you soon. Have fun and do your best.”

The Housemates yelled their goodbyes, hoping Corey would hear – but he was gone from the House forever.

How did the House react to Corey’s goodbye? Did they miss their young party boy compatriot? Or did the Housemates move on, as if he had never been there? Stay tuned to find out!
