On the first night she was a great group-drifter, shifting seamlessly from conversation to conversation with her brand new HMs, who embraced her fun, chatty and charismatic nature.

When it came time to state her case before the Sunrise Eviction, she won the HMs favour with her refreshing honesty. “I think I want to stay in Big Brother because I don’t have a job to go back to,” she confessed. “I’m pretty friendly and I think I’m interesting and I like everyone here. I’m entertaining and I’ll put a smile on everyone’s face. I’m a bit of a prankster. I’m fun and fun-loving and outrageous and I think you’d be silly if you sent me home.”

In the first few weeks Dixie was in the House, she appeared to be on a downward spiral. She struggled to find her place amongst the larger personalities and this lack of belonging to any specific ‘group’ was compounded by the fact that Dixie felt tired and homesick.

To make matters worse, Dixie’s in-House friend she felt closest to – Rima – left the House unexpectedly. The pair had been “soul sisters”  – joking about the boys, bitching about the girls and even comforting each other in the BB bed. They had been inseparable.

After Rima’s departure Dixie was plunged into a grief-like state: she spontaneously cried and found it increasingly hard to re-connect with her other HMs in the following days. But eventually, she re-emerged with her trademark sass and passion!

This was partly brought on by the intrusion of three new Housemates – all of whom were male and all of whom Dixie had her eye on. The “boy crazy” mental health worker enjoyed the perve and the “who do you like?” conversations that sprung up amongst the girls.

She particularly enjoyed eye-candy Barney and made no secret of how about how she preferred the boys to “bare all” and “go free” around the House, in the name of her enjoyment.

Dixie finally began to bond with the BB babes, and even found an in-House personal trainer and confidante in Rebecca. The two even shared a moment talking about how “annoying” they found Bianca.

But the warm fuzzies between Dixie and Bec weren’t to last, as Bec announced her ex-friend was “fake” and promptly through her Housemate Hand Grenade her way - making Dixie the House's resident Chief of Laundry! The self confessed “moody” Dixie then found herself in a showdown with Brigitte, even naming her as her least liked Housemate – and Bianca.

She hung out some hip hop moves with Alice in the Dance Task, made amends with Brigitte and Bianca, mucked around with the boys, stirred the BB pot - and even bonded with Terri, explaining her opinion on Sorry Day and growing up as an Aboriginal Australian.

Despite causing plenty of controversy in the BB House during her 35 days inside, undoubtedly the House is going to feel like a very different place minus Dixie.

See how the House is dealing with Dixie’s departure.
