With Intruders Cherry, Rhianna and Terrence hitting the House, reaction has been officially mixed. While Rory has taken quite a shine to Rhianna, Terrence and Terri have bonded over their mature age status in the House, and Cherry has been pulling out all the stops to make a buddy out of Brigitte. But have the new Intruders made the Paris Wannabe realise the value of family?
Everyone in the House has remarked on Brigitte’s personality 180 this week – gone are the glowering stares, the tantrums and the outbursts, replaced with a bright smile and positive attitude.
In the Locker Room, Ben, Nobbi and Rory hung with Brigitte and chatted about the new Intruders. Everyone agreed they were not members of Terrence’s fan club – but, given Brigitte’s recent about-face, were considering becoming card carrying members of hers.
“I don’t hate you Bridgey,” Rory remarked thoughtfully. “You just annoy me sometimes.”
Even Brigitte’s one time bitch banter buddy, Ben, admitted to holding the Paris Wannabe in a higher esteem of late. “I don’t even dislike you anymore Bridge,” he confessed.
For Brigitte, the feeling was mutual. “I don’t even dislike you anymore Ben,” Brigitte replied.
Ben noted the timing of Brigitte’s personality revelation. “That’s just because she’s up for Noms and wants Australia to hear it!” Ben joked.
But Brigitte was adamant her newfound transformation was simply triggered by the Intruders making her realise just how much she is actually endeared to her Housemates.
“No it’s not,” Brigitte retorted. “I don’t care if I go home! I’m just being nice because the new people came, and I’m like ‘I like my family better’.”
Besides, Brigitte realised it was going to take a lot more niceness for the Housemates to change their opinion of her – it was not something that was going to happen overnight.
“Why would I want to be nice now?” Brigitte questioned. “I’m going to be up every week, people aren’t going to suddenly start liking me.”
But it appears Brigitte was mistaken – and a couple of the boys had already decided Brigitte deserved a berth in their good books. “I might Bridgey,” Ben revealed.
Rory agreed. “I like you heaps more now than when I was going sick at ya,” the Brickie confirmed.
Will Brigitte continue her possimistic ways in the countdown to her 21st birthday? Is this a new Brigitte?
