JACKIE & MIKE CROSS TO THE HOUSE
When Jackie and Mike crossed to the House they were keen to find out the HMs thoughts on the week’s past events.
When Jackie told Terri that she was the oldest person in the House and she should be looking after the young kids, Terri was surprisingly honest: “Let ‘em fight! I don’t care! Let ‘em fight to the death.”
Mike stuck the boot in with Terrence asking him to recount his story about travelling across the Nullarbor. Terrence just looked confused.
When asked about his surprise holiday, Nobbi went red with embarrassment. “It wasn’t the best prize. I think I’ve been lucky!”
And did Bridge miss those boys while they were in their rubbish wonderland? “They belong in the garbage!” she retorted.
“It was tough week this week,” Travis said in response to Jackie’s question about how he had coped with recent events. “I’m looking at it in a possumistic view. I’ve learnt a lot and I’m going to be tougher and stronger.”
When the two hosts signed off, Terrence was full of questions, “What did he mean about the Nullarbor?” “I think he meant you take ages to tell a story,” Terri answered. Terrence fell quiet.
DIXIE’S HAND GRENADE
The Housemates had been speculating all week about Dixie’s missing Hand Grenade. The Dixie Chick had not launched her ammunition all week and it has made the HMs very nervous.
But all their fears, all their suspicions were confirmed in a matter of life-changing moments. “This is Big Brother. Alice, Brigitte, Bianca stand in front of the Eviction Door,” BB announced and then – as if out of the blue – former HM Dixie appeared on the House plasma.
“Big Brother has given me the power to save one of you. Saving someone will mean that the next people with next most amount of votes will drop down,” Dixie offered a little smile.
“The Housemate I have decided to save is Alice. On equal points who drop down and are Nominated…” Dixie paused for dramatic effect. “I would love to tell you who you are, but BB won’t let me tell you who they are.”
“Alice you are now safe,” Big Brother delivered the good news. “Join your fellow Housemates on the couch. Brigitte, Bianca – you are both up for Eviction tonight.
Alice looked relieved, as if a heavy burden had been lifted off her shoulders, as she crossed back to the couch.
“As you know Big Brother always requires 3 nominees,” BB said. “However as the next two Housemates have the same number of points. There will be four Housemates up for Eviction.”
A wave of tension flooded through the Lounge as Big Brother declared: “The new nominees are Terri …”
Terri’s hands flew up in shock.
“…And Renee.”
Renee turned a bright red, “I can’t leave like this! I look like a bushpig!”
The two new nominees took their place beside the Eviction Door.
“The Australian public has spent the week voting on the four of you,” Big Brother told the four. “One of you will be Evicted tonight.”
PRE-EVICTION SNAPSHOTS
Renee
“I dreamt this … I dreamt this …” Renee repeated quietly in the Diary Room while waiting for BB Hosts Jackie and Mike to appear on the plasma. When Jackie asked if her she was shocked, Renee played the hoopla down. “I had a feeling all week! I want to have my Birthday in here! I reckon I’m gone!”
Brigitte
“I’ve just been trying to make the most of this week,” Bridge told Jackie and Mike but seemed incredibly optimistic. “I was never in the Hot Seat, maybe I’m staying but who knows?”
Terri
“I am just surprised that I have lasted this long!” Terri said in shock, adding that she was happy to go if that’s what Australia wants. Terri looked pink in the face but she managed a smile.
Bianca
“I tend to have been saying that I wouldn’t be disappointed if I left but I’d love to stay. My nerves have hit a plateau.” When Mike asked Bianca if it was different to be nominated by your fellow Housemates as opposed to the public, the Italian Princes said the feeling was equal. “I don’t know if it’s better or worse.”
LEAVING TONIGHT …
“Nominees,” Big Brother announced. “The time has come. One of you is about to leave.”
The Housemates looked about themselves, stunned. It was all happening so quickly! The plasmas were alive and Jackie O and Mike appeared with envelopes in hand.
“One of you will be leaving the House tonight. It’s now time to deliver the verdict,” they told the HMs.
“The first person staying in the BB House is … Terri!” Terri’s hands flew up again, this time with joy.
“The second person staying in the BB House is … Brigitte!” Brigitte gave a cheeky grin and wave and returned to the couch.
Then it was time for the news that nobody was ready to hear. “And the next Housemate leaving the Big Brother House is,” Jackie O said, “Renee.”
There were hugs, pecks and smooches as a red-faced Renee was ripped from the House through the Eviction Doors. Bianca was distraught. Rhianna was crying. Ben was devastated. One of their most-loved Housemates had gone. Forever.
