How are you feeling? You came so close …
Alice: “Still close. Feeling good.”
Travis: “Feeling so possumistic like 84 days out of 85, I am stoked with that.”
Did the fake Eviction prepare you for this?
Alice: “It prepared us to know it is actually going to end. Y’know? But the way it was done – On Sundays you just expect it: you stand at that door, it’s all okay, you go through the motions, that was like ‘bang, see you later,’ didn’t even get the Eviction door.
Travis: “We were stoked for like our final week in the House and then we’re told ‘This is Big Brother … there’s a Snap Eviction’ and we’re like ‘what?’”
Alice: “You are a bunch of mates and then you have to pick someone and then he says ‘are you prepared to end someone’s time?’ and then I’m like ‘you’re the one who’s asking me to nominate like I’m not comfortable with this!’ And then it was shock, horror, and for me it was again you’re Housemates have chosen you to leave …”
Travis: “… Instead of Australia …”
Alice: “… When Australia chooses you to leave you can go ‘okay fine, that’s them,’ when it’s your friends and you’re going against them – that’s hard.”
Do you think the ‘spa incident’ brought you closer together?
Travis: “Definitely.”
Alice: “Most talk about the fact that we are actually really close and I guess when you talk about it, it does concrete it. And I guess – if anything – it did that. We talked about the twosome that needed each other side by side but we just put in concrete that we are really good mates and an incident trying to break that up wasn’t going to happen.”
Travis: “Actually, well, yeah, talking about the twosome kind of thing and you know how in the Locker Room I was saying, ‘Al, I really don’t want you to get Evicted today,’ because I wouldn’t have been able to deal with the boys if Al wasn’t there. Well I would’ve been able to deal with it, I wouldn’t have been able to deal with it as well if Al wasn’t there kind of supporting us just working through the situation with me. So – for me – it reinforced how close were and our relationship and I definitely felt it brought us closer together and it just kind of reinforced that y’know our Big Brother experience, we’ve experienced so much together as Housemates.”
You both saw quite a bit of action in the House …
Alice: “It was all truth and dare!”
Travis: “I get the most boobies of all the girls in the House.”
Alice: “I did not hook up with anyone in the House, oh I pashed …”
Travis: “Six out of 14, wow that’s hectic.”
Alice: “They were all truth and dare!”
Travis: “Rory and I were actually talking in the Kitchen y’know - for me being the most masculine in the House and I was the most feminine, I got more boob than him!”
Travis – did your time in the House result in a bit of Sex Ed?
Travis: “Yeah, especially when Rory and Alice did a demo of doggy style, when they said ‘Trav, do you know what doggy style is?’ and I was just like ‘sex while you’re walking the dog?’ And then Alice is like ‘no, we have to show him.’
Alice: “I didn’t say it straight away, everyone’s like ‘what, I don’t get it?’”
Travis: “I think now if I do another interview with Kyle and Jackie O like we did this morning and they ask me what a climax is I’ll probably be able to answer it a lot better than what I did this morning. Thanks Al! That was very nice of you. But yeah definitely learnt a lot more about sex. It was like sex ed, some people go through year six, some people go to Big Brother.”
Travis – did you feel like you were bullied in the House?
Travis: “I felt that at the time, Nobbi was using peer pressure to provoke a response from me that he wanted to say. Obviously there was the whole kind of boys’ club mentality going on between Nobbi, Benny and Rory. They were obviously filling my mind with things that Al had said over a week. I would definitely say they were using the forces of peer pressure but yeah I’ve been lucky enough not to have feel peer pressure in the past. Having felt it in Big Brother House is probably the best place to experience it because it is such a controlled environment.”
Do you think you handled it well?
Travis: “Yeah well I think – as I said it drew Al and I closer together. It made me learn so much about myself. I shouldn’t have held Nobbi in such a high respect as what I said. And not only that, hopefully it taught Nobbi something about the genuine nature of people’s character and the integrity of their behaviour.
“I think like especially after the spa incident he made a comment as well like ‘Oh, Travis, you have nothing to be sorry about,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I don’t, you do.’ I don’t think he meant for the whole situation to explode like it did, like by no means did he want Al and I to spend the night in tears. Y’know that weekend when Nobbi and the boys went to The Dump we were like ‘yes, they’ve gone, we can recuperate a litte bit without them being here.’ But I definitely think he wanted to provoke a reaction from myself because he had the impression that I was a sugar-coater and not saying what I truly felt. I definitely think he wanted the situation in the spa to occur.”
Alice, how do you feel after the treadmill trade war?
Alice: “Yeah. I’ve calmed down. It was an issue that I’m not going to dwell on. It’s a shame that it had to be portrayed like that. I know it’s part of the game and it’s all that sort of jazz. I would ever question family coming first, it was a shame that Big Brother would say ‘oh you don’t care about family?’ It’s just I’m questioning why the treadmill was put out just to get a reaction. I got my care package I want everyone to have theirs. It’s all I seemed to talk about. I am more than that. I do do other things but run.”
Do you have a message for the remaining HMs?
Travis: “Hey guys Terri, Benny Boo Boo, Rorzer. Keep being possumistic and we’ll see you on the Outside. It’s so good. Alice and I had the best time last night and we’ll hopefully see you today some time.”
Alice: “Hi guys! Well done! Massive party ahead and real life ahead! We’ll see you soon I guess! Get out of bed. “
Travis: “Yeah! Wake up!”
A message for your fans?
Alice: “Hi Everyone out there! Absolutely flattered that you watched me and all the other Housemates. I love you as much as you supported me! So thank you so much.”
Travis: “Hey guys, thanks for voting for us and keeping us in the House, absolutely love every single one of you. I think you all guys who wore sombreros and love heart sunnies at the Eviction show have great fashion sense and hopefully I’ll be catching up with you for a sunny sesh and keep being possumistic!”
Any last words?
Alice: "Expect the unexpected and have fun with it! That’s what Big Brother is and it’s fun!”
Travis: “If I had any final words for you, I would say that you know – to make other people happy you need to be truly happy with who you are as a person and I just think that everyone should be possumistic because there’s enough negativity in the world without people dwelling on superficial negative things.”
