This one has a double helping of the attributes that make Leos so, well, fabulous... they have verve and guts, charisma and glamour… they don’t mind having an impact, and when they share their, ahem, feelings, it’s like an event. You see, while they can purr like a pussycat, and prettily, too, they can absolutely roar like their namesake, the Lion, sending people scurrying, and watching from a safe distance via our TV can be fascinating.
But the thing is they can be just way too much of a ruler at times - trying to take charge ALL the time, even if and when they don’t know best. This tendency to dominate can create ripples – major ones - with less forthright and direct types who nevertheless don't hand power away easily. They are loud (cover your ears!) and they love to talk… and to yell… and to sing. They also love to argue the point, and they love to laugh!
They can be incredibly compassionate, kind and good-hearted – they are in many ways a secret softie, and even though they have a temper, they will hate to hurt another. But it’s their ego - strong and vibrant as it is, that makes them vulnerable in the House. You see, they can be so convinced of being right that they have little or even no ability to compromise at times. They are the type of person who doesn’t really want to get along – they really want to be themself, and they really would, secretly, like to be worshipped!
They have yet to really discover another person who can impress them in the way they can impress other people. Used to being such a ruler in their own world, they’re going to find it strange and unbalancing to be in a world where they have contenders for the crown. They can be lazy, witty and charming, and they can shoot people down with a look. They shut out those they don’t “think much of” by just crossing their arms and sitting back - and they have quite the evil eye when they choose to flash it.
Being royalty, they can refuse to do things that are beneath them, which does not mean they won’t pitch in and help with the work. But if they feel their dignity is being sacrificed for no good reason, they could walk, and fast. It’s going to be very challenging for them, this House, this place, this year – because something of their own nature may need to bend. And this one’s all about bending others to their charismatic will – so that’s going to be a very interesting process to watch…
Why they’re there: Star quality!
Why we’ll love them: Riotous fun, magnificent grump-fests.
Why they’ll stay: We love to watch them!
Why they’ll go: Selfish, sometimes, even cruel – not intentionally, but it can happen. Depends if Australia decides watching discomfort is fun.
