“I have an idea – no, really, it’ll work if we do it my way. Why? Because I can tell – it’s scientific! How do I know it’s scientific? Because I am a genius!” Well, they may not actually say so, but they are smart. They are all about figuring things out and coming up with astonishing new ways to do very ordinary old things. If there’s a challenge, they’ll figure out some bizarre way to do it. Rather than approach things like everyone else (BOR-ING!) they’d prefer to, oh, change a toilet roll standing on their head… clean the floor by strapping a sponge to their back and then wiggling about. You get the picture. Everyone else sees ‘mad’, but they see ‘experiment’!
How will you know them? Well, as they approach, you can tell they’re coming. Because you WILL hear them. No, I’m not saying they have a big mouth, or even that they’re loud, though they very well could be. I’m saying that they’re either talking to others or talking to themself. The others don’t have to be people – they could be trees, clothing, ants, the sky, someone they met once and forget to tell them their opinion on the next Ice Age, their friend from Kindy who didn’t share, or someone who upset them and they’ve just thought of the correct reply! It’s like there’s no past, present or future with this one, so every moment is a perfect opportunity to talk to someone and sort something out – or at least let them know what they think (they’re big on what they think, even if it would be more accurate to say they’re telling them how they feel).
If they’re not actually speaking out loud they will be thinking so darn hard that we just can’t help but hear them – they’re like a transmissions tower, sending messages in powerful waves. For other people, the intensity of the verbal and mental activity can get quite full on at times, making people pick up and run for cover as they approach. It’s not that they don’t like this person, they just need a break! And so they will wonder sometimes why everyone’s run to the other side of the House… or why they’ve voted for them to be quiet, and why they’re taking bets on them not being able to do it.
It’s fortunate that they can be very, very charming… when they’re not correcting you. But again, just when you think you’ve got to know them, someone else will slide out, and come to play. And that sounded a little sneaky – and they’re not – they’re taken by surprise themselves most of the time when they behave like a stranger to themself. Their energy is high – most of the time – and while they don’t mind sleeping in, they are absolutely revved and ready to electrify the rest of the time. And that’s the thing… when I feel their energy, it feels absolutely electric. They’re a buzz, they’re witty, and they’re is not short of an idea! The human light-bulb is about to enter the House – and one thing’s for sure, they could explode!
