Surfer Josh has just caught his biggest wave yet and it's washed him up inside the Big Brother House.
How would you and your friends describe yourself?
I’d describe myself as a pretty fun person. I just love to have fun. That’s it – essentially – always looking for the next good time. Yeah, I don’t really take myself too seriously. I think my friends would say the same thing.
What do you do in your spare time?
First and foremost I try and go surfing somewhere, find a wave. If not, probably just listen to some tunes, try and chill out a bit, try and catch up on some sleep seeing as though I don’t get much sleep after big nights out and whatnot.
When was the last time you cried?
The last time I cried was at my grandma’s funeral. Was my last grandparent, so of course I was going to cry. She was a good one. Not that my other grandparents aren’t good ones. She was a cracker.
What do you think you’ll get up to in the Big Brother House?
I like entertaining people and usually I’d try and do that by doing something outlandish. You know, I won’t try and force it. It’s just natural. ’Cause like if I sit around and I’m bored, I’ll try and make fun for myself.
And what are you nervous about?
I’m nervous about doing something that my Mum’s gonna be like, ‘Oh, Jesus.’ I’ll do some good stuff but she won’t focus on that. She’ll be like, ‘Why did you do that?’
What makes somebody a good Housemate?
I think somebody who has the ability to make people laugh and break the ice in intense situations. Being in a tight, close-knit group, a small environment, it can lead to things getting blown out of proportion and overreactions. I think if there’s somebody who’s kind of the mediator to settle the situation down - that makes someone a good Housemate.
What makes a shocking Housemate?
Somebody who is over-opinionated but doesn’t really have the right to be over-opinionated about something.
Do you have any phobias?
I have a phobia of wasps for some reason. I just can’t believe something so small can continuously sting you and get you. I hate that. And snakes! I hate snakes.
As a single guy, do you ask girls out on dates or are you asked out?
Nah, I tend to ask people out. I don’t think I’ve been asked out since high school.
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve done?
I dunno, I love making mix tapes but I think the most romantic thing I ever did was fly halfway across the country to go visit somebody and surprise them for Valentine’s Day.
How will you be with girls in the BB House?
I’d probably be too flirty with each of them. I can’t help it. Me trying to be nice to somebody is probably coming across as flirtatious. I’m just a flirty guy. I’m fun.
