Day 09 began with 17 unconscious bodies scattered about the Big Brother House, in beds, on couches, and even on the floor. In one of BB’s surprising late-night twists, all HMs were invited to sleep in the Safe House.
The Halfway HMs were predictably pumped to escape their Halfway lifestyles, if only for a night. Latecomers Rohan, Katie & Lucy were still tickled pink this morning, excited for their first full day in the House.
The HMs were served a new Weekly Shopping Task today; an Ashes test, with some signature spin from Big Brother. The Backyard was transformed into the BBCG and the Safe HMs were sent out to bat, defending their stumps against an automatic cricket ball bowling machine. Across the line, the Halfway HMs had a red-hot task of their own: to keep BB’s prized Backyard fire burning.
In another curveball, unemployed House sweetheart Ben was invited to interview for a new job as BB’s Personal Assistant. Dressed to impress in a grey suit and polka-dot bowtie, Ben charmed BB and scored himself the job.
It wasn’t all fun and games of course, with the HMs called to the Nominations Chamber to Nominate for the first time. BB revealed that four more HMs would face the public firing squad alongside newly-ex-newlyweds Jade and Drew, totalling six Nominees this week.
In another shock twist, this week’s Nominees were forced to switch places with the original Halfway HMs, sending Jasmin, Sharon, Tim, Jade and Drew somewhere over The Divide to join Halfway naysayer –stayer Mikkayla.
But as Big Brother warned them at the Nominations announcement, HMs should expect the unexpected. “This week’s nominations are not final,” he said. “Big Brother will get back to you.”
How will our new Halfway HMs cope now that the tables of turned? Will Mikkayla ever make it over The Divide and into the Safe House?
